DR. PIERRE BOURQUE

Dr. Pierre Bourque is a clinician investigator in Neuromuscular Disease and Director of the EMG laboratory.  His training included a 2-year fellowship in laboratory and clinical investigation of peripheral nerve diseases at the Mayo Clinic. He has held leadership positions as Neurology Residency Program Director and Neurology Division Head at the University of Ottawa. He is passionate about medical education, serving as a Unit leader and Content expert in Neuroscience. He maintains a very active clinical practice combining the assessment of neuromuscular disease, bedside teaching, and electrodiagnostic assessments. 

Research Interests: peripheral neuropathy, Analysis of CSF, diseases of the neuromuscular junction, motor neuron diseases and myopathy
