DR. JODI WARMAN CHARDON

MD MSc FRCPC

Dr. Jodi Warman Chardon is the Director of the Ottawa Neuromuscular Centre in The Ottawa Hospital. 

She is a clinician-scientist in the Department of Medicine at the Ottawa Hospital, Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) in Neurosciences and Clinical Epidemiology, and Department of Genetics at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario/CHEORI. 

She is also the co-Director and Assistant Professor of the Centre for Neuromuscular Disease at the University of Ottawa and is certified by the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (EMG). 

She earned her medical degree and residency in Neurology at the University of Ottawa and MSc from Queen's University. She finished her research in Neuromuscular Disorder at McGill University and completed her clinical fellowship in Neurogenetics at the University of Ottawa. 

Dr. Jodi Warman’s research interests are focused on improving genomic and imaging studies for neuromuscular disorders. She also aspires to translate her discoveries to improve patient care.

Research Interests: genetic myopathy; muscular dystrophy/myopathies; neuromuscular disease; spinal muscular atrophy, motor neuron diseases/ALS; Genomic technologies and Muscle MR imaging
